The paper-based public transit pass known as carte orange is to be replaced with navigo. The new public transit ticketing system(www.navigo.fr) is similar to a library or credit card but it is for the storage of transport fares. Delivered after completing a registration process and the payment of a registration fee, the use of the new ticketing system is simply by passing the card(after purchasing the appropriate transport fares) on a purple band at the top of the turnstile to facilitate passenger’s movement.
