Criminal investigations & technology

One article in the IHT captioned Readying cybercuffs for the savvy crook in the issue of december 27, 1999 looked at the issue of how law enforcement agencies in the US are tracking embezzlers and bogus stock investement advisers. At that time, people thought that fighting crimes online will be limited to the US and to the surprise of internet observers, France has been using SALVAC(système d’anlayse des liens de la violence aux crimes) a criminal investigation software for the past seven years.
